Eureka in "Someone is Stealing the Great Throne Rooms of the Galaxy"Edit

When Rufus Q Shupilluliumash hit upon the answer to the crime wave of throne room thefts, he shouted "Eureka"! Why the name of a not very large city in northern California should have become the cry for discovering something, Rufus did not know, but it had. The Space Patrol could be a tradition-bound (and -gagged) outfit sometimes.[1]

Eureka in State of JeffersonEdit

Eureka, Jefferson was located 200 miles southwest of the capital city, Yreka. In August 1979, the Yeti Lama traveled to Eureka by boat to meet with Jefferson's governor, Bill Williamson.[2]

When Williamson and his publicist, Barbara Rasmussen, arrived, they learned that the Yeti Lama's boat, the Heiwa Maru, was late. They had lunch in Eureka, and Williamson was able to play the pol, including a quick conversation with a local marijuana grower who appreciated Yreka's policy of looking the other way.[3] Not long after, the Heiwa Maru arrived and Williamson and the Yeti Lama successfully met.[4]
