Arnold Eric Sevareid (1912–1992) was a CBS news journalist from 1939 to 1977.

Eric Sevareid in WorldwarEdit

Eric Sevareid was the network correspondent in Little Rock, the nation's capital in 1965. When the Race destroyed Indianapolis in 1965, Sevareid expected to report on the government's response. Instead, he tearfully reported that President Earl Warren had committed suicide.[1]

Eric Sevareid in Southern VictoryEdit

Eric Sevareid was an American news journalist during the Second Great War. In 1944, he became a newsbroadcaster for the U.S. Wireless Atlanta, reading the 7 pm news program. U.S. soldiers grew to prefer Sevareid to Confederate Connie.[2]

Sevareid was one of several journalists who interviewed Cassius Madison when Madison toured the U.S. later in 1944.[3]
