Eduard Dietl in Southern VictoryEdit

Eduard Dietl was a major in the Austro-Hungarian[1] Army and a member of its Imperial General Staff. He and Captain Heinz Guderian visited Major Irving Morrell at the Canadian front as observers. They came under fire from Canadian troops. Both were impressed with Morrell's strategic skills as he drove off a Canadian offensive.

Unlike Guderian, Dietl was involved in combat during the Great War.
