Der panzerbaer logo-1-
Der Panzerbär (English: The Armored Bear) was a German propaganda paper published intermittently in Berlin during the last days of World War II. It made increasingly fantastical claims of victory as the Soviets advanced and claimed secret super-weapons would snatch victory from the jaws of defeat. Only seven issues were made, between 23 and 29 April 1945.

During the siege in the Old Museum in Berlin, Sgt. Karl Edelsheim tore strips from a copy of Der Panzerbär in order to roll cigarettes.
