Daniel Hanmer Wells (October 27, 1814 – March 24, 1891) was an apostle of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church) and the third mayor (1866-1876) of Salt Lake City, Utah Territory, United States.

Daniel Wells (1814-1881) was one of six Mormon leaders executed by United States Military Governor John Pope in 1881 after the unsuccessful insurrection staged during the Second Mexican War.[1]
