The Republic of Colombia is a constitutional republic in northwestern South America. Colombia is the 26th largest nation in the world and the fourth largest in South America. It has the 29th largest population in the world and the second largest in South America, after Brazil.

During the golden age of the Spanish Empire, what is now Colombia was part of New Granada. The name Colombia is derived from Italian-Spanish Admiral Christopher Columbus.

Colombia in Southern Victory Edit

Colombia was neutral during the Great War, even though some of its neighbors fought on both sides.[1] In 1925, Colombia entered into a border dispute with Venezuela. The United States backed Colombia, and warned Venezuela's backer, Germany, not to give weapons to Venezuela. Germany denied doing so, and issued a mirror warning to the U.S. The conflict was resolved without bloodshed.[2]

Colombia did not participate in the Second Great War and remained neutral.[3]

Colombia in Worldwar Edit

Colombia (along with the rest of South America) was conquered by the Race shortly after the Conquest Fleet's arrival in 1942. It was recognised as a Race colony by the Big Five under the terms of the Peace of Cairo in 1944.[4]
