The Plain Dealer is the major daily newspaper of Cleveland, Ohio, United States. Founded in 1842, the Plain Dealer has the largest circulation of any Ohio newspaper.

On May 29, 1942, the Cleveland Plain Dealer reported on anti-Roosevelt demonstrations in downtown Cleveland. It also reported that the pro-Roosevelt supporters, although outnumbered, had come armed.[1]
