Map of Central America.

Central America (Spanish: América Central or Centroamérica) is the predominantly Spanish-speaking central geographic region of the Americas. It is the southernmost, isthmian portion of the North American continent, which connects with South America on the southeast. When considered part of the unified continental model, it is considered a subcontinent. Central America consists of seven countries: Belize, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua and Panama. Central America attempted to become a unified nation following the model of the United States in 1823, but the union failed and was completely dissolved by 1840.

Central America in Southern Victory Edit

Unlike Mexico and the Central America, Central America, while not under the effective control of the Confederate States, was not inclined to show any friendly appearances toward the United States either.

While most people agreed it would be convenient if a canal was built somewhere in Central America for shipping, the US and the CS could not agree on who would build the canal and who would control it. Each threatened to go to war with the other, if either one tried go ahead with a project to build a canal. US President Alfred Thayer Mahan famously shot down one such CS proposal in Nicaragua.

Central America in WorldwarEdit

Central America fell quickly to the Race's Conquest Fleet in 1942. The area remained in Race hands after the Peace of Cairo in 1944.[1]
