North Americans

This category serves as a broad category from characters who hail from some country (or countries) in North America.

In OTL consensus holds that there are 23 countries in North America, including all those on the land mass (which includes Central America), as well as several in the Caribbean. In the works of Harry Turtledove, that number may vary from timeline to timeline.

Many countries have a sufficient number of citizens appearing in the various works of Turtledove to justify subcategories (such as the United States, Canada, Mexico, and the Confederate States.)  

However, there are several instances where subcategories are not justified, such as the various independent countries in The Disunited States of America, or the tribes in "Secret Names". People hailing from those timelines should go in the broader category.
