Buggone was a pest extermination company in Abilene, Texas. In 1942 the company had a contract to fumigate the guard barracks in Camp Determination. After ensuring no guards or pets were in the building, the crew covered it with rubberized sheets and pumped poison gas in. While the gas killed any vermin in the building, it did not prevent new infestations afterwards.
The company logo on the side of their trucks was a cartoon of an overgrown, concerned looking cockroach and a man with a mallet behind his back approaching.
