Brno is the historical capital of Moravia and the second largest city in the Czech Republic.

Brno in The War That Came Early Edit

Brno was a target of the Luftwaffe in the early stage of the Second World War, and the scenario of multiple dogfights among German, Czechoslovak and Soviet "volunteer" air forces.

A large part of the Czechoslovak Army retreated to Brno around the time Prague was cut-off and eventually surrendered to German forces, hoping to continue the fight in the east. However, a rebellion backed by the Hlinka Guard broke out in Slovakia shortly after, dooming the Czechoslovakian war effort and forcing the government to go into exile in Paris.

During occupation, Brno's Jewish community, like Prague's, was the subject of harassment by Nazi forces.
