Boy, Do You Bet Your Life was a radio program that began in 1942, airing Wednesdays at 8 on the Mutual Network. Its schlemiel of a hero soon discovered that United States Army life wasn't what it was cracked up to be. Most Americans of the time knew that already.[1]
