Bavaria (Bayern in German) is a state of Germany, located in the southeast of the country. It is the largest German state by area, forming almost 20% of the total land area of Germany. Its capital is Munich.

One of the oldest states of Europe, Bavaria was established as a duchy in the mid 1st millennium. Eventually it became a kingdom. During the German Empire (1871-1918), Bavaria's king was subject to the Kaiser. All monarchies in Germany were abolished at the end of World War I in 1918.

Bavaria in In the Presence of Mine EnemiesEdit

Bavaria was a conservative region of the German Reich. When Heinz Buckliger assumed the office of Führer, one of his first acts was to ask for, and receive, the resignation of Bavaria's Gauleiter, Strauss.

In the elections held at the end of 2011, Bavaria overwhelmingly elected conservative members of the Nazi Party.

Bavaria in The Two GeorgesEdit

Bavaria was one of the more prominent of the Germanic States. While constantly squabbling with their fellow Germans, Bavarians were seen as quite jolly.[1]

At a reception in Victoria, North American Union, the Bavarian ambassador strove to hang a pace and a half to the left and rear of Philippe Bonaparte, his counterpart from the mighty Holy Alliance, in acknowledgement of his nation-state's meager size compared to the other man's mighty empire.[2]

Bavaria in WorldwarEdit

Two of Bavaria's major cities - Muenchen and Nuremberg - were destroyed by the Race's explosive-metal bombs.
