Anne Wingfield was the wife of Edward Wingfield and the mother of Joanna Wingfield. She arrived at Jamestown colony in 1609. She married Edward shortly after, and bore Joanna the following year.

In 1610, Joanna was stolen by a group of sims. Edward was able to rescue her, although two men died. Ironically, his encounter with the sims had left him sympathetic to them. Anne, who'd been ill-disposed to the sims before, hated them even more.
