The Alligator was a Confederate three-engine military transport aircraft, used during the Second Great War. Although obsolescent by the 1940s, it remained in service due to the Confederacy's push to upgrade combat aircraft. Alligators were used during the air supply of Confederate troops during the Battle of Pittsburgh. In 1944, Jake Featherston and several other Confederate dignitaries attempted to escape from the US Army aboard an Alligator, however, they were shot down over United States-occupied territory, and had to travel on foot to their destiny.
