Sergeant Albert Dieselhorst was Lt. Hans-Ulrich Ridel's tail gunner and radio operator from the begining of World War II. He earned an Iron Cross First class for accompanying Ridel in the test flight of his idea of arming Stukas with a pair of 37mm antipanzer weapons.
